Hello everyone! For today’s post I wanted to do something a little bit different, and to share with you three outfit ideas for Christmas day. I know that not everyone dresses up on Christmas day; a lot of people I know have a comfy pj day etc. But for me, I see family on Christmas and it’s a tradition for me to get dolled up for the big day. So, these outfit ideas can be for any occasion around the season dependent on when your plans are. For this post I have selected items of clothing from my favourite clothing stores, as well as selecting items from my own wardrobe to show you:
1) Little Black Dress: I absolutely love simple black dresses, that I can doll up with nice shoes and jewelry. I particularly like wearing black during the winter months as oppose to summer months, and like to pair them with thick tights and heels. Here I have selected two gorgeous ones that I found online, and two from my own wardrobe.
Topshop: Shade Slip dress by Motel
New Look: Black Roll Neck Sleeveless Shift Dress
Left: Newlook. Right: Marks and Spencer Limited Edition.
2) Go sparkly: now this second idea really is for when you want to go all out, but when its Christmas, or any special occasion for that matter, why the hell not?! I have a fair few sparkly items in my wardrobe, and I feel so pretty and special wearing them; in fact last year for Christmas I know I went all out with the sparkles. After countlessly scrolling through my favourite shops online, and admiring sooo many pieces, I’ve shortlisted my three favourite sparkly pieces for Christmas.
Asos: Selected Silver Sequin Cami Top
Topshop: Suhalia Dress by Motel
Miss Selfridge: Gold Pleated Playsuit
3) Trouser and Blouse combo: If you already know me, you’ll certainly know that I love dressing smart and going for a classy look; and a trouser and blouse combination is becoming one of my favourite style of outfits. Here, I selected three blouses all from Marks and Spencer which I absolutely love, which would pair perfectly with two pairs of trousers in my wardrobe.
Marks and Spencer Limited Edition: Front tie blouse
Marks and Spencer Limited Edition: Sleeveless ruffle blouse
Marks and Spencer Limited Edition: Collared neck blouse
I would style these three blouses with my black high waisted cigarette trousers which were from Topshop. And I would then pair these trouser and blouse combinations with my absolute favourite court heel shoes, which are super comfy and really add to create a classy, elegant look, which are again from Marks and Spencer Limited Edition.
I’d also just like to note that images used were either found on the clothing websites the other two were taken by me (shoes, and two dresses). Links to the sites I have referred to are as follows:
