Midweek date night – handmade burger co

Hello everyone! For today’s post I’m going to be sharing with you my experience at Handmade Burger co, where me and my boyfriend went for an evening meal this week. I eaten at this restaurant chain before, and have previously written a review on which; but this week I went to the one in Newcastle, whereas last time I went to the one in the White Rose shopping center in Leeds.

It’s nice to pop and do something with your evening, particularly when university work is getting a bit tedious and you’re starting to feel a little fed up. But a night out in good company never fails to perk me up again. We decided spontaneously to go to Handmade Burger Co, as we know the food is good, and is such good value for money; so why not?

I decided to be adventurous and go for something different on the menu than last time, as did my boyfriend; and we definitely made the right choice…

I decided to go for the Chicken Cheese Classic burger which consisted of: mature cheddar, their original burger relish, mayo, lettuce, and red onion.

And he decided to go for the Chicken Italian which I was so tempted to get. Inside it there was: Mediterranean sausage, mozzarella, red pesto, mayo, rocket, and red onion.
And then for sides we went with sweet potato chips, and coleslaw, and bottomless drinks. I’ve had the regular chips before there; but in all honesty I much preferred the sweet potato ones.

Our meals were so yummy; after we’d finished, although we were very full, part of us still wanted more. I think for the next time I go back here, I’d like to try out the deserts and see if they are just as nice.

I love the way that these restaurants are decorated; they have such a relaxed and cosy vibe which is exactly what you want on cold winter nights. I also like the fact that whenever I’ve been in, I haven’t had to wait long at all to be seated, and service is good. Also, the restaurant is never too busy which is what I like; obviously you don’t want to be sat in a ghost town for your meal, but I like an atmosphere somewhere in-between that and it absolutely heaving.

And finally, here’s a sneak peak of my outfit:
Blouse: Zara
Cardigan: Topshop
Jewellery: Pandora

I hope that you all enjoyed this post, and thank you for reading. Have any of you tried this place, if so, what did you think of it?
Shelley x
