My Summer Beauty Necessities

Hello everyone! For today’s post I wanted to do a beauty related one, because I feel like that’s the area that’s perhaps the most neglected on my blog; and so to kick-start including more beauty content on my blog, I thought I’d share with you my current favourite products that I use in the summer. I won’t lie, my favourites can change often as I stumble across new products, but I can definitely say that a couple of these products have been longstanding favourites.

As you can probably tell, due to the fact that the bottle is on its way to being empty, this is quite possibly my favourite perfume; particularly now we’re entering the summer months. I’ve had a number of perfumes by Juicy Couture over the years, and I love the fruity, sweet smell they have; which instantly make me feel summery and feminine.

The Body Shop: Smoky Poppy Body Butter

I’ve always loved the body butters that the bodyshop offers, I’ve had various scents, and am yet to find one I dislike. At the moment I’m using the Smoky Poppy body butter. A body butter has without a doubt made it into my summer beauty must-have’s because for me, the summer is when I place a lot of focus into really moisturising my skin; to maintain a tan, and stop it from drying out with the sun. I’ve recently just returned from a holiday in the sun, and have another one planned; so looking after my skin is an absolute necessity.

Caudalie The Eye Cream

Spa Magik beauty balm

Now, both these products were actually from my June lookfantastic beautybox, which, conveniently was a holiday special box. I feel so grateful or the fact the box introduced me to these two products, as I absolutely love them both.

This eye cream is super hydrating, and really brightens up my under eye area. And as discussed previously, moisturising is so important for me in the summer; on my face and eyes as well as my body. Also, this beauty balm was such a good find. It’s a super light weight BB cream with SPF protection; and I used it every single day on my holiday; it lasted a fairly decent amount of time, and was totally comfortable. If you’ve been following my blog for a while, you’ll know that I absolutely love BareMinerals; and have been collecting and loving their makeup for coming up to three years now. And throughout my time of experimenting with different products, the original foundation has remained my all time favourite foundation to date. Now, this is also one of my summer necessities as the light weight, powder formula to this foundation is absolutely perfect for my oily skin, which is exemplified when I’m in hot climates. Also, it feels so light weight on my skin that it causes no discomfort, and keeps my face intact on warm summer nights. This blush, gives the perfect warmth to your cheek, with a hint of shimmer. I personally prefer to wear shimmery blushes in the summer months rather than the winter as with the natural glow of the sun I find it complimenting.

The Marvellous Moxie lipgloss I have is in the shade Rebel, and what I most love about this is how long-lasting it is. This lipgloss game with me on my recent holiday to Rhodes, and will definitely be coming with me again in my next holiday to the Canary Islands.

John Frieda Sheer Blonde styling foam:

Ah, for me, the summer is when I really want to intensify my blonde locks. I love it when the sun naturally lightens my hair, and products such as this give it that extra boost. This foam is so handy for those summer days/nights when I don’t really feel like putting heat on my hair; so I simply apply it to damp hair, give my hair a scrunch and it gives it plenty of shape and volume. Alternatively, I like to apply it to damp hair before applying heat, and I find it helps my hair fall into the style I’m wanting.

So there we have it, my summer beauty necessities that I’m using constantly at the moment. I hope you all enjoyed this post, and thank you so much for reading! What are your beauty must-haves this summer? I’d love to know!
