M&S Autograph Makeup

Hello everyone! Today I’m sharing with you two new makeup items that I picked up as I was, no surprise, browsing around Marks and Spencer. I’ve tried out a few of their beauty products before, but never from their Autograph range; so I decided to try something new and pick up the Air Cushion Foundation, and the Twist Up Cheek Highlighter. So get yourself comfortable, and let’s talk beauty…

First things first, I really like the simplistic and consistent packaging to the Autograph makeup. I don’t know why but for me, when it comes to things like my makeup I just prefer simplistic designs. And with this I just think the simple black and white stands out, and looks great.

Now, if you’ve been following my blog you’ll know that the bareminerals powder based foundation is my absolute go-to, and have used it for such a long time though. But this doesn’t mean I’m not open to trying out new foundations, because if anything, I want to widen my choices. So I decided to give this a go. My first impressions of this was that a little really goes a long way, and to be honest I was impressed with the matte finish it left my skin with. I like the fact that it’s a little compact with a mirror, the foundation itself, and a little applicator; so I think this will be something really handy for on-the-go touch ups, and for taking away on holiday.

The fact that the shade I went for is called pearl completely does it justice, and is the perfect word to describe the colour. This is super pigmented, is easy to blend due to it’s slightly wet formula, and I like the fact that it comes as a stick making it easy to apply, and store. I think the best thing about this for me was that, despite it not being a powder highlighter, it isn’t oily or feel greasey which is perfect for my oily skin. I like to apply this to the top of my cheek bones, and then slight amounts on anywhere where I just want an extra bit of glow.

As a little side note, I included this highlighter in my ‘Get Ready With Me Date Night Glam’ tutorial; so if you’d like to see how it’s applied check it out!

All in all, I can safely say that I enjoyed trying out Marks and Spencer’s Autograph makeup, and I definitely want to try out more of this range, and their other ranges too. I think out of the two, the highlighter is my favourite; I haven’t found fault with it personally, and it’s becoming a product I’m reaching for most days.

I hope that you enjoyed this post and thank you for reading! Have you tried out anything from this range before? Or any other beauty products by Marks and Spencer?

Speak to you soon, Shelley x
