Hello everyone! So it’s time for another beauty post today and I’m doing a product spotlight on the Kiko Skin Evolution Concealer. If you didn’t already see my Kiko Creamy lipgloss product review, you won’t already know that I recently tried out Kiko cosmetics for the first time and bought three products. So, let’s get onto this concealer…
The first thing I have to say is that this concealer was an amazing price – it was only £3.80 and I think it’s a really good size for that. I know Kiko is known for their affordable prices, but what I love about it is that it has that professional feel and look whilst being drugstore price. I like the plain, classic packaging to this; and for when it’s not a liquid based concealer my favourite is when it’s a twist up, almost crayon type – like this one.
I got the shade 01 – natural pink which is the lightest shade. This is fine for me at the moment as I have my summer tan – but when it gets to the winter and I’m back to my pale self I know that this is going to be a little too dark for me which is a shame. But now, with my summer glow this is the right shade for covering up my blemishes.
The colour aside, I find this concealer really nice and bendable and easy to apply with it being a twist-up. It has a nice matte finish which is what I like with having oily skin, but isn’t too drying on the skin – it felt no different to any other concealer I’ve tried. This concealer also claims to be resistant to water, heat and humidity – which, if it works, will be perfect for the warm nights on my upcoming holiday.
Here you can see the consistency on my skin, and how it blended into my hand; and also a finished makeup look with me using it to cover up my blemishes. As you can see on my hand it blended really well; and all I needed to do was rub it in a little with my finger.
So there we have it, my thoughts on the Kiko Skin Evolution concealer. Have you ever tried this out before? Overall I think it’s amazing value and a good concealer; however with the colour match being slightly too dark for when I’m not tanned I don’t think I’ll repurchase it apart from for summer months.
