I talk about what products I love and use so often on my blog, but never really share with you how I use them, and what products go into what looks. In the light of the Christmas period, when there’s so many occasions to get dressed up, I thought I’d share my makeup for going out for some Christmas drinks. When I’m not in a rush, and actually have enough time to enjoy it, getting ready is something I love doing.

I’m not one who loves wearing absolutely loads of face makeup, so I really like to draw focus to my eyes and lips. I tend to use dark grey, and silvery shades for a night time look like I did here – which I finish off with a thin line of black eyeliner, and a black mascara. The eyeko eyeliner is a new found love of mine, and as for mascara – bareminerals have always won me other with their mascaras as well as face makeup which you’ll already know I’m obsessed with. Because I went for quite a dark, and statement eye look I didn’t want to pull focus from it by having a bold lip – so this subtle, nude shade form Marks and Spencer – Rosie for Autograph was perfect. It’s a really moisturising product, but I did need to keep applying it on the go.
