Hello everyone – today it’s time for a little bit of beauty talk and I’m putting the spotlight on the Emma Hardie Cleansing Balm. You know how much I love my skincare, especially when it comes to cleansing products so I was excited to try this. I came across this in the marks and spencer beauty advent calendar, and if you’ve read my full review post of the calendar you’ll know that I selected this as one of my favourites from it. I love things like the beauty calendars, or beauty boxes, because it introduces you to amazing brands in a miniature form, that you wouldn’t necessarily have wanted to try. For instance, this cleansing balm is a little bit on the pricey side for someone with a student budget, so I felt more appreciative to be trying it through the calendar. So, if you’d like to know what my first impressions were, keep reading.
This cleanser is a daily cleanser that aims to deeply cleanse right into the pores, balance, and moisturise the smell. I got a nice, luxury feel from this product – not only from the packaging but from the smell of the product. What I love most about this cleanser, is it’s multi purpose – on the one hand it acts as a cleanser that easily removes makeup, but you can also leave it on the skin for around ten minutes to act as a hydrating mask. Anything that focuses on hydration and moisturising the skin is something that I reach for particularly during the winter months, when my skin is more sensitive and dry. This cleansing balm has a rather thick consistency, and definitely packs in the moisture to my skin. So, although I need to focus on keeping my skin moisturised to prevent the dry skin I’m more prone to during winter, as my skin is oily for the most part I use this more on a weekly basis, rather than a daily one.
