My Favourite Hair Treatment Products

Hello everyone – today we’re taking a bit of a break from makeup and talking about hair products. I love hair care almost as much as I love skincare – but I guess because I don’t go through as many hair products as I do makeup, it doesn’t make as much of an appearance on my blog. Nevertheless, today I wanted to share with you four products that I regularly use to help nourish and hydrate my hair.

L’oreal Mythic Hair Oil and Josh Wood Radiant Shine Hair Treatment Oil – I couldn’t include one of these hair oils and not the other, because I love them both equally but for different reasons. I use the L’oreal mythic hair oil on the daily, as a daily hydration treatment that I like to add morning and night. Whereas I like to use the Josh Wood radiant shine oil as more a deeper treatment – I like to leave it in my hair for around 15 minutes as a pre-shampoo treatment, and sometimes use a little bit on the ends of my damp hair after washing when my hair needs more of a serious pick me up. I would say that I prefer the application style to the Josh Wood oil, purely because it enables you more easily to select the exact amount you want – but on the whole I get so much use out of these hair oils, and they’re both affordable too.

Tony and Guy Nourish Reconstruction Mask – I’ve loved this hair mask for months now – it’s affordable, smells great, and makes my hair feel amazingly soft and silky. I like to apply this after washing my hair, just as if I was applying any ordinary conditioner – but I leave it on for at least ten minutes. I love that it comes in this big tub – a little goes a long way, and this has lasted me for a while now, and I won’t be running out any time soon. This has everything you’d want and expect from a deep conditioner, and is a treatment I like to use weekly to keep my hair feeling soft and nourished.

Phillip Kingsley Elasticiser – I came across this in the Marks and Spencer beauty advent calendar in December, and I’m so glad that I did – because if it wasn’t for that, I probably wouldn’t have ended up trying this as it’s a little on the pricer side, however you can get this in a variety of different sizes, and I’ve often seen it on sale so it can be a bargain – but because of the many good reviews I’ve heard and read about this, I was excited to give it a go and see if it lived up to the hype. Whereas I use the Tony and Guy hair mask as a deep conditioner after shampooing, I use the Phillip Kingsley Elasticiser as  pre-shampoo treatment. After rinsing my hair thoroughly, I apply this throughout the whole of my hair with more focus to the ends, and leave for as long as I feel is necessary. After washing and drying after using this my hair feels vibrant, hydrated, and healthier. Phillip Kingsley’s advise with this, for very dry or damaged hair, to cover the hair with a plastic cap with this on and leave for around 10 minutes. Of course a deeper treatment like that isn’t something I need to on a weekly basis, but I’d say once or twice a month I give my hair a big, deep treatment.

What do you think? What are your favourite hair products?
