Hello everyone – following my most recent beauty review on the Clinique moisture surge I thought I’d write another Clinique skincare review on the Pep-Start 2-in-1 Exfoliating Cleanser. I won’t lie to you, when it comes to exfoliation I’m a bit of a slacker, so this product has encouraged me to get on board with it. So, what are my thoughts?
First things first I love the packaging – just like the moisture surge, it’s simple pink packaging and I love it. A second point to note is that it’s affordable – at £16.50 from a premium brand it’s certainly desirable.
I think the main reason that I’ve slacked in terms of exfoliators, is because I view it just an ‘extra’ step that I’ve found easy to skip in a skincare routine. And, of course, skipping it hasn’t made any extreme difference, but to find a product such as this that gently exfoliates whilst cleansing the skin, a crucial step in my daily skincare routine, just makes it so much easier. It’s nice and gentle which makes it okay for daily use – managing to lift any dead skin, dirt and impurities whilst not being too harsh on my skin. Although you could easily use this on the daily, I personally wouldn’t – I just don’t feel as though my skin needs it, but a product that combines exfoliating and cleansing really appeals to me, and encourages me to exfoliate more often.
The directions for use are simple, by simply gently lathering onto wet skin, rinsing and following up with a moisturiser it’s a cleanse and exfoliation done in one easy step. A dual-purpose product such as this is absolutely perfect for travelling – minimising the amount of products you need to take whilst still getting the benefits you’re after.
All in all, given the convenience and affordability of this product I’d definitely recommend it. Plus the gentleness and softness on my rather sensitive skin works well for me.
What do you think?
