Hello everyone, I hope you’re all well. And happy Christmas Eve! Since today is the last day of advent calendars, I wanted to share with you my overall thoughts of the Bareminerals Box of Wonders advent calendar – which was my choice of calendar this year. I’m so glad I went with this, Bareminerals are one of my all time favourite makeup brands, which will be totally obvious to anyone who reads my blog, and this calendar was a great way to try loads of goodies, at such good value for money. It was such a treat to open up a mini product by a brand I’ve loved for years every day.
First thing to mention, is how good value for money this calendar was. It was priced at £75, with a value of over £200 – amazing right?! I actually got mine in the Debenhams sale for even less which was even more fantastic. When I was making my shortlist of which beauty calendar I wanted to go for this year, when I found out how good the value for money the box of wonders had my decision was confirmed. Last year I went with the Marks and Spencer beauty calendar, and while that was definitely on my shortlist again for this year, I decided to go for the box of wonders, because 24 products by one of my favourite makeup brands at such a great price, how could I not?

My favourites
It’s really hard to sum up my favourites, because I’m really happy with everything in the calendar. I’ve come across many things that I’ve not yet heard of nor tried, and I can’t wait to start using it all.
A favourite has got to be the marvellous moxie lip glosses, I’ve had these time and time again and I find them long-lasting and well-pigmented. I love the shades Dreamer and and Best Dressed – I think they’re both perfect for this time of year with one having a bit of sparkle and shimmer, and the other being a lovely dark red/plum. For the marvellous moxie lipsticks – Baby, and Strip are perfect nudes wearable for so many occasions, so they’re great. From what I’ve tried so far they’re nice and moisturising, pigmented, and well-lasting.
I was so happy to see the Mineral Veil in the calendar, it’s something I’ve used every day as my finishing powder for years. I love it. I’m also excited to try the tinted mineral veil, and see whether I like this just as much.
I love the mini versions of the lash domination mascara – this again I love. I think the petite precision brush is great for bottom lashes, and to help stop any clumping.
If you’ve followed my blog for a while, you’ll know I have the bareminerals colour extravaganza eyeshadow palette; and since I love and use that so much I was happy to see some individual eyeshadows in the calendar. A good range of colours was included, and I imagine these will last a long time, because if there’s anything I’ve learnt from using baremienerals makeup over the years, it’s that a little goes a long way.
Thanks for reading! And I’d like to wish you all a happy Christmas!
