My ‘No Makeup’ Makeup Routine

Spring and summer, to me, means a much more minimal, and natural makeup look. Not only do I find a full face of makeup uncomfortable in the heat, I just enjoy being much more natural and relaxed through these seasons. The heat makes me embrace my skin, my freckles, and wave bye bye to a full face. So, I thought I’d share my four go-to products for my ‘no makeup’ makeup look, which is pretty much my daily routine at the moment.

Bareminerals spf15 matte foundation – My all time favourite foundation, which you’re probably almost sick of hearing me talk about on my blog. But I just can’t get enough of this foundation, it works perfectly for my oily skin, gives build-able coverage, is breathable and keeps me looking matte all day long – what more could I want? On minimal makeup days I just take a small amount and buff it into my skin using the Full Flawless face brush for an even light coverage.

Bareminerals tinted mineral veil – This is a more recent favourite, absolutely perfect for a super minimal makeup look. If I’m going for a ‘no makeup’ look, my usual go-to of the Bareminerals warmth powder, is a bit too much, but the tinted mineral veil is incredibly subtle, and gives just a hint of natural warmth and colour. I simply dust this all over my face using the Flawless Face brush for a natural bit of colour on top of my foundation. The mineral veil powder also really helps to keep my looking matte, and helps my makeup last throughout the day.

L’oreal true match concealer – Likewise with the Bareminerals foundation being my absolute favourite, this is my current fave go-to concealer. It’s got great coverage and blends really well so even just with the lightest layer of foundation, and this to cover my blemishes leaves my skin looking flawless and natural. Some days I even skip foundation and mascara and just dab a bit of this on any blemishes, add a bit of lip balm and that’s me done.

Bareminerlas flawless definition mascara – I discovered this foundation a few years ago now, and recently came back to it and have fallen in love with it all over again. It’s no secret that I’m a huge fan of Bareminerals makeup, and their mascaras are no exception to that. This mascara is great if you want length and definition, and separates the lashes really well.

L’oreal colour riche lipstick (630 Beige A Nu) – This lipstick is such a perfect nude for me. It’s long lasting, pigmented, and not too drying on the lips, so it makes for a perfect daily lipstick. This shade looks subtle enough to look super natural on me, whilst giving me just that bit of something.

What do you think? What are your go-to products for a minimal makeup day?
