Hello everyone, I hope you’re well. Today I’m sharing a big old wish list of summer styles I’m loving this year. I won’t lie, I’m a bigger fan of winter fashion rather than summer fashion – how about you? But I love creating themes for my wardrobe for any season nonetheless. You’ll know by now that my wardrobe doesn’t contain much bright colours, but, if you’re like me and don’t go all out with colour, it doesn’t mean your summer wardrobe is any less. So, here’s a breakdown of the styles and pieces have I got my eye on.
Shirts and Blouses
Shirts and blouses are a staple in my wardrobe all year round – you can pair them with jeans, shorts, skirts – anything. I love to have a selection in neutral colours that I can style with various things for a number of occasions – dressy or casual. I mainly go for white – it’s one of my favourite colours to wear, and it can easily be matched to most things in my wardrobe. When I do go for colour, I love blues.
It wouldn’t be summer without having some trusty summer dresses in our wardrobes. I’m definitely more of a trouser and skirt wearer, but that doesn’t mean I’m dismissive of dresses. In fact, I’d love to wear more this summer.
When it comes to skirts, I love midis. They’re a length I feel comfortable in, I find it a flattering length, and I don’t feel too cautious about ‘maybe getting too cold’ going out in a skirt in the UK.
I’m really getting back into trousers this season. I actually favour trousers over jeans, and I definitely want to get more in my wardrobe. Whether styled casually with a t shirt, or dressed up with a blouse and heels – I find them comfortable, yet chic. I’m currently loving paper bag trousers – so I’d love to get more of those in some staple colours.
