Lacura Aldi hot cloth cleanser: Review

Lacura Aldi hot cloth cleanser Hello everyone, I hope you’re all well. Today I wanted to share a review of a current skincare gem that I’ve found. The Lacura hot cloth cleanser from Aldi, which is a great dupe of the Liz Earle hot cloth cleanser. I love finding affordable skincare that works well, so I couldn’t resist sharing my thoughts on this cleanser.

First things first, this cleanser is part of the Special Buys, so I’m unsure how long it’s going to be available for. As soon as I heard that it was going to be coming to stores, I made a pledge to search for it every time I popped into store, and I managed to bag one for me, and one for my mum too. Priced under five pound, I just couldn’t resist.

Cream cleansers like this are my favourite way to cleanse my skin, I find that cleansing and then going in with a hot cloth is the best way to really get into your pores, remove dirt, oil and any makeup, but in a gentle way. I’m currently going through a pretty bad skin phase with various break outs, so I need to be using a cleanser thats gentle, that won’t irritate and cause me pain by aggravating my skin, whilst still leaving it clean, smooth and hydrated. Application is as simple as it sounds: simply rub in a small amount of the cleanser with your fingertips onto dry skin, and then go in with the muslin after soaking it in hot water.

I love the simplicity and the packaging of the cleanser, the blue and the white give off a real ‘spa’ feel if you ask me. The product itself smells great, it’s got a nice strong fragrance that smells luxurious, and again, spa like.

It advertises to be suitable for all skin types – I myself have oily skin, and my mum has dry and sensitive skin, and the two of us have got along really well with it. To me, it feels like such a gentle cleanser, so it works a treat on my skin.
