Styling a Fred Perry Dress for Autumn

Autumn. The season for boots, snuggly cardigans, roll necks, and layering. I love Autumn – it’s my favourite season, mainly because I love dressing for it. Today I wanted to share how I’ve styled my classic black Fred Perry dress for the season.

This classic Fred Perry dress is something I can wear all year round. In summer I style it with sandals, plimsoles and a denim jacket, and for Autumn and Winter I simply add thick tights, boots and a chunky knit. It’s such a versatile piece, and you can work black with almost everything.

Outfit details:

Dress: Fred Perry

Cardigan: Marks and Spencer

Leather Chelsea boots: Marks and Spencer

Bag: Radley

These black leather Chelsea boots from Marks and Spencer are my current go-to shoes. Chelsea boots are something we all need in our Autumn / Winter wardrobe – whether with jeans, a skirt or a dress; day or night, they’re a staple and work with so many looks.

When it comes to knits, I love a good chunky cardigan that I can throw over the top of things, and feel snuggly and warm in. This will be perfect for my commute to university on cold mornings.

This was such an easy, comfortable outfit for a day out. It’s something you could wear for a number of occasions, and that’s what I love about versatile clothes. Key warm knitwear pieces like this cardigan, and my Fred Perry dress are perfect for Autumn and Winter, so you can mix and match with your wardrobe.
