What’s In My Makeup Bag – February 2020

Hello everyone, I hope you’re well. It’s been a l-o-n-g time since I’ve shared a what’s in my makeup bag post, so I’m bringing it back. The end of February to me is the cusp of winter and the beginnings of spring – although the weather is still absolutely freezing, days are brighter, and the sun is shining more. I like to keep my day to day makeup as minimal as possible, even more so when the whether gets brighter and sunnier.

Bareminerals Spf15 Matte Foundation – My all time favourite, and trusted foundation. This has been my go-to foundation for over five years now and I cannot fault it. I’ve tried countless others since, but this is what I return to and reach for day in, day out. It sits perfectly on my skin, I find it to be breathable, and I love how adaptable the coverage is. Not to mention one pot goes such a long way – a completely worthwhile purchase in my eyes.

Bareminerals mineral veil powder – On top of the matte foundation, this is the perfect accompaniment. It helps my face stay looking matte for longer, a struggle for those with oiler skin, and helps my face look fresh and flawless, for longer.

Clinique airbrush concealer – I’ve come back to this concealer a fair few times over the past few years, and it still remains a favourite. It’s long lasting, has great coverage, and blends well.

Clinique True Bronze Pressed Powder Bronzer – I love a bronzer, it’s such a quick, convenient, all-rounder product. I’ve never been one to go full-board with highlighting and contouring my face, I just like to brush on a bit of bronzer and job-done. I find this one from Clinique long-lasting and has a super matte finish which compliments the foundation well.

Clinique High Impact Mascara  & The Body Shop smokey eye definer pencil (Taupe) – These two combined is my simple, every day eye routine. A bit of something to make me look more awake and perk, without being too heavy or uncomfortable. I find this mascara to be natural looking and nice and lengthening. As for the eye pencil, it’s fairly long lasting, and is subtle and soft making it an ideal daily liner.

L’oreal Paris colour riche Satin lipstick, 630 Beige a Nu – I’ll have to give this the crown of being my all-time favourite daily lipstick. It’s the type of shade you can wear for any occasion, and it’s a thoughtless decision – perfect for on a daily basis. Particularly since I’m still half asleep as I’m applying my makeup at 7 in the morning before work. I want it to be as effortless as possible, please and thank you.
