While we may be transitioning into Autumn months, I am currently enjoying a relaxing holiday in sunny Rhodes, and wanted to share with you three of my favourite beauty products I brought away with me this year. Two of which were brand new tries for me, which I discovered in the Marks and Spencer summer beauty bag, and decided to leave them to try whilst I was away as I knew being in the sun all day every day would be the perfect test for them.
I love having the opportunity to discover new products and new brands, so I was excited by the Marks and Spencer summer beauty bag. I have tried beauty advent calendars before, but never anything specifically summer related. And there’s still so many products in there that I’m yet to fully try and share my thoughts on. The beauty bag included the Nuxe Spf 50 Creme Fondante, and the Sun Smart aftersun face mask.
Nuxe Spf 50 Creme Fondante
A good spf is absolutely key all year round, but even more so when you’re exposed to the sun more than you usually would be. A face spf of 50 is essential for me. I love the scent of this, and how it sits on my face. It absorbs well and hasn’t caused me any breakouts or irritations – so my first impressions from using this every day throughout the week is nothing but positives.
Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse
This oil has been a favourite of mine for years – it’s a fantastic multi purpose oil you can use all year round and it won’t let you down. I use it on my hair, and on any dry parts of my body – particularly my legs. I’ve especially been loving using it on my hair as the sun can leave my ends feeling slightly on the drier side, and wanting that extra bit of moisture and tlc. It has a luxurious scent and dries quickly, so there’s none of that nasty sticky feeling that oils can sometimes have.
Marks and Spencer Beauty Sun Smart After Sun Face Mask
This product I was really excited to try. Sure I’ve used after sun before, but never a specifically designed after sun product for my face. I’ve been applying this daily after being in the sun and showering, and letting it soak into my skin for a good ten minutes before rinsing and continuing with my skincare routine. It feels incredibly refreshing and cooling, and hydrating. However, on areas of my face that has caught a little too much sun and caused some soreness, I did find this to be slightly uncomfortable on those areas, so perhaps bear that in mind if this is something you go on to try.
