Six of my Longstanding Beauty favourites

It’s been a while since I’ve talked about some general beauty favourites. Today I wanted to talk about six of my longstanding beauty favourites. By longstanding, I mean these are products I have used regularly for years, and always repurchase once I’ve ran out of them.

Bareminerals spf15 matte foundation – I could rave about this foundation all day long, and I’m pretty sure you will be sick to death of reading about it on my blog and Instagram for the past five years. But truth time, it’s my ultimate favourite foundation. I love how build-able it is, how lightweight it is, and through my years of struggles with acne and oily skin, it’s always been the most suitable option for me. And while I do own other foundations and give them their own praises, I simply cannot imagine not having this foundation as part of my makeup collection.

Clinique High Impact Mascara – If you want a trusty black mascara then this is a great option. Day to day all I wear on my eyes is mascara, so a trusty mascara is an essential in my makeup bag. I find this one nice and lengthening, and natural looking.

Bareminerals marvellous moxie lipgloss – I’m not one to pick a side when it comes to lipstick and lipgloss – I love them both, each in their own right. I do, however, find myself going for a lipgloss when I can’t decide on a lipstick. And when I do wear lipgloss, it’s almost always a bareminerals marvellous moxie lipgloss. I find them super long lasting, not overly sticky, and have a good pigment to them. My favourite shade is Rebel, photographed here.

Batiste Dry Shampoo – Who doesn’t love Batiste dry shampoo? It does the job and saves my hair between washes – it gets rid of any grease really well, and has a strong scent so you feel fresh again. It’s always been a trusted and super affordable option for me, and I’ll always have a spare tucked away in my cupboard.

Chanel Coco Mademoiselle – I remember the particular moment when I first discovered this perfume. Flashback three or so years ago – I was doing some Christmas shopping with my mum, and she was wanting to repurchase Chanel No 5, and she suggested that I tried Coco Mademoiselle and reckoned it would be perfect for me. Once I had smelt it I knew that was my new favourite, and it’s been my go-to perfume ever since. I’m not one for describing scents, but it’s gorgeous, and lasts a really long time.

Simple Light Hydrating Moisturiser – This has been my favourite moisturiser for years. With my endless skin struggles over the years, a lot of moisturisers either lead to break outs, or just feel really uncomfortable on my skin. This is one of the few that feels breathable, gives me enough moisture, and doesn’t lead to breakouts. Given how affordable this moisturiser is I’ve continually repurchased it over the years, and I hope it’s never discontinued!

You cannot go wrong with a bottle of Batiste dry shampoo! I definitely make sure I always have bottle in my beauty drawers. I love to use it when I curl my hair to add some texture as well as use it in-between washes too x
