A New Skincare Saviour: Bioderma Sebium Purifying Cleansing Foaming Gel

It’s no secret that I have suffered with acne on and off for years. It’s something I’ve spoken about many times on my blog, such as here, and here. As a result, it’s rare that I find skincare products that I love and work well for me. That’s why today I wanted to share my new favourite and daily face wash – the Bioderma Sebium Purifying Cleansing Foam Gel.

Bioderma is a brand I’ve seen various others rave about, and see it popping up on my Instagram feed, but never one I’d tried for myself. Just before I went on my recent holiday to Rhodes, I realised I needed a new face wash. After a quick browse on the Look Fantastic website at the skincare options for acne prone skin, Bioderma cropped up and caught my eye. Given this face wash was at such a reasonable price I thought why not give it a shot. After using it both day and night for the last couple of weeks I can firmly say I’ve found a new favourite. Prior to this I had been using the Clearasil rapid action daily gel face wash, but I find this kinder to my skin.

This is a paraben and soap-free face wash, part of Bioderma’s anti-blemish range. It is a refreshing gel-based face wash suitable for acne-prone, oily and combination skin types – ideal for me. My skin feels cleansed, refreshed and smooth after use – but it doesn’t feel over drying, or upset my skin. Trialling this whilst away in the sun was the perfect test to see if it had any drying effects. But paired with my trusty Simple light moisturiser, my skin was absolutely fine.

Since I have got on with this face wash so well, I would really like to try more products from Bioderma’s anti-blemish range and see how they work for me.
